Rescue in action 🐦
Yesterday, during an enforcement inspection carried out within Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), ERA officers rescued a juvenile Mediterranean Storm Petrel in distress. May we remind that this species benefits from protection under Malta’s Conservations of Wild Birds Regulations (S.L 549.42).
Through immediate coordination with BirdLife Malta, the bird was transferred for the necessary rehabilitation.
