Environmental education must be given great importance throughout our lives. This is especially critical at a young age where a proper environmental awareness should be formed, this will set the scene for better environmental practices and care.

A part of this education is the Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) programme.

The programme is specifically designed for secondary and post-secondary students and aims to carry out investigations on local environmental issues and propose solutions through investigative reporting and photojournalism. The goal of YRE is to engage youth in resolving environmental problems and issues.

St Margaret College, Secondary School, Verdala is one of the local schools which participate in this programme. St Margaret College, Secondary School, Verdala submissions can be found here.

ERA congratulates all the participating students who participated in this year’s YRE National & International competition 2020-21, for their hard work and dedication projects in favour.
