Representatives from the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) and the Ministry for Energy, the Environment and the Regeneration of the Grand Harbour (MEER) are participating in the 17th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP17) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Together with EU Member States and other Parties, Malta is contributing to discussions on drought resilience, land restoration, sustainable land management and the future strategic direction of the Convention.
UNCCD COP17 provides an important opportunity to advance global action against land degradation and strengthen cooperation towards healthier ecosystems and more resilient communities.
