ERA Deputy Director Suzanne Gauci recently spoke at an Information Session organised by the National URBACT Point and Urban Contact Point within the Local Government Division, in collaboration with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Local Government and Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta (SEM).
The session focused on EUI and URBACT, two EU Funding programmes supporting sustainable urban development – EUI funds innovative projects, while URBACT helps cities share knowledge and best practices.
During her intervention, Suzanne highlighted that the Environment and Resources Authority is ready to support Local and Regional Councils interested in the URBACT IV Action Network Call, open until 17 June 2026. This is a great chance for councils to collaborate on environmental projects through shared learning and innovative local action.
Councils interested in leading or participating an URBACT project on environmental issues can contact ERA on [email protected] and the National URBACT Point on [email protected] for guidance and support.
