State of the Environment Report 2018 – Ombudsman Report

The Environment Protection Act, 2016 (Cap.549), introduced the requirement for the “State of the Environment Report … “[to] be passed on to the Commissioner for Environment and Planning within the Office of the Ombudsman. The Commissioner for Environment and Planning within the Office of the Ombudsman shall have the right to ask the Environment and Resources Authority and other authorities and entities to furnish his office with any information that he requires in order to analyse the report and to compile his opinion on such a report.” The State of the Environment Report 2018 was the first of such reports reviewed by the Commissioner for Environment and Planning within the Office of the Ombudsman.
